02Thermostats

Which thermostat should I choose for underfloor heating?

Choose a capillary or modular thermostat for simple, dependable control at the lowest cost; a digital thermostat for precise temperature settings; or a Wi-Fi thermostat to run schedules and control each room from your phone. Every thermostat we fit carries a 2-year warranty.

Precision is at the heart of true comfort. A thermostat serves as the intelligent control point of your heating system, allowing you to regulate temperature effortlessly while maintaining a consistently comfortable environment.

Capillary Thermostat

Capillary Thermostat

01 / 04

  1. Simple, low-cost control that just works.

A classic and dependable solution for straightforward temperature control. Capillary thermostats use a mechanical sensing element to regulate heating based on the surrounding temperature. Simple to operate and highly reliable, they are well suited to conventional heating applications.

  2. Sits flush in your switchboard, out of the way.

Designed to integrate seamlessly into standard electrical switchboards, modular thermostats offer a clean and discreet approach to temperature control. Their compact format makes them ideal for installations where aesthetics and space efficiency matter. They provide practical, reliable control without unnecessary complexity.

  3. Set the exact temperature, read it at a glance.

Digital thermostats bring greater precision and clarity to temperature management. Featuring an easy-to-read digital display and accurate electronic temperature sensing, they allow users to set and maintain their desired comfort level with ease. A refined choice for modern heating installations.

  4. Schedules and room-by-room control from your phone.

The next level of heating control, Wi-Fi thermostats combine precision with intelligent connectivity. They allow users to manage temperature, schedules and heating settings remotely through a compatible smartphone or smart platform. Designed for modern lifestyles, they offer convenience, flexibility and greater control over your heating environment.

03Insulation

Why does underfloor heating need insulation?

Insulation under the heating cable sends heat up into the room instead of down into the ground or the slab below. The floor warms faster and running costs fall, most of all in ground-floor rooms. Which material we use depends on the floor and the load it has to carry.

Insulation is a specialised material designed to reduce the transfer of heat, helping maintain stable indoor temperatures and improve energy efficiency. Available in different materials, densities and thicknesses, insulation can be selected according to the specific requirements of a building, application and installation environment.
